We are looking for a Restaurant Team Member to be responsible for maintaining the standards of food service set by the hotel and assist the Restaurant Manager. Communicate with the Kitchen during service times.

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for maintaining the standards of food service set by the hotel and assist the Restaurant Manager. Communicate with the Kitchen during service times.

Duties:

To liase with Restaurant Manager during service on allocation of tables and seating of guests

To greet all guests for dinner in a polite and reasonable manner

To ensure that guests are allocated the correct tables in the dining room

To communicate with Head/Sous Chef throughout service time on covers, seating and availability of items etc

To assist in stocking and maintaining all restaurant equipment

To be aware of and adhere to the hotel policy regarding dress and personal hygiene

To ensure that staff are aware of the hotels fire and safety policy

To liase with the Head/Sous Chef with regards to all matters concerning food service

To be aware and comply with rules and regulations ensuring all staff understand the grievance and disciplinary system

To attend meetings when requested

To maintain security in the restaurant be aware of the penalty for theft

To assist the restaurant sales by inviting guests to eat within the hotel (i.e. BB guests)

To ensure that all food dockets are processed in the correct manner and to be responsible for processing all restaurant bills with the Restaurant Manager or in his/her absence

.To maintain the high standards of service within the restaurant

To ensure that the restaurant is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and in good order

To adhere and practice the correct procedures as set out in the Standard Operating Procedures manual

Ensure staff are aware of the hotels fire and safety policy

To ensure that all food dockets are processed in the correct manner and sales are recorded correctly through Epos

To supervise and record any sales promotions in the Restaurant Managers absence

To ensure adherence to the companies Health and Safety procedures and maintain these throughout the department

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal Culinary Training
  • Previous Restaurant Experience
  • Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Restaurant Industry Knowledge
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Knowledge of Restaurant Regulations
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Exceptional Customer-Service Skills
