Tides restaurant at the Somerville Hotel is one of the island's most popular restaurants in St Aubin Jersey, for lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch and afternoon teas.
Tides is an award winning restaurant and it's easy to see why as soon as you sit down to eat. Take your time to savour several courses and enjoy dishes like pan-roast wood pigeon served with roast butternut squash, pearl barley and pickled wild mushrooms. Try one of the chef's dessert creations, you won't be disappointed.
There are naturally fish options to choose from, like our speciality lobster menu. Jersey lobsters are succulent and sweet, local seabass, moules and oysters are on the menu when they are in season.
At lunch time you can take in the cool blue hues of the sea and enjoy fresh local seafood. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views. Of course during the summer months you can choose to eat on the Terrace. This al fresco option is what Jersey is all about - a little taste of France but closer to home!
At night, the lights in St Aubin's village illuminate the pretty harbour below. Over dinner look out across the bay to Elizabeth Castle lit up in the distance. White table cloths and fine glasses make the dining experience feel special.
Before dinner try one our head barman's famous cocktail creations; rum sour, gin bliss or an espresso martini are tantalising and a perfect way to start your holiday evening.

We stayed at the Somerville Hotel for 14 nights during August 2018. We ate in the Tides on 3 occasions during our stay and experienced exceptionally good food and service on each occasion. The menu choice is varied enough to suit all tastes and the quality of the food and presentation is of a very high standard. We would thoroughly recommend the Tides for anyone staying in the St Aubin area and wishing to have a special meal.
