Jersey Events and Festivals 2010
Monday 8th - Sunday 14th. Textiles Showcase. Showcasing contemporary, innovative, exciting and historical textile art from the UK, France and the Channel Islands. The Somerville Hotel is the ideal place to stay, located within a few minutes walk of the Harbour Gallery.
Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th. Spring Flower Show. The Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society invite you to their springtime show, featuring displays, demonstrations and competitions.
Sunday 25th- Monday 26th. Tour de Bretagne. Over 100 professional cycling teams will be travelling to Jersey to compete in the 2 day stage as part of the 44th Tour de Bretagne.
Saturday 1st - Monday 3rd . Jersey Boat Show 10. An event for the whole family with exhibits, entertainment and displays of the latest models, from luxurious superyachts to family cruisers and dayboats. Capture the essence of the yachting lifestyle with a 2 night Luxury Break at the Somerville Hotel.
Sunday 9th. Liberation Day. Join Islanders to celebrate the liberation from Occupying Forces during World War II. A variety of activities and events are planned including heritage trails, access to WWII bunkers and a commemorative service.
Saturday 15th - Saturday 22rd. Spring Walking Week. Discover an island heritage and explore Jersey's natural beauty in a series of free guided walks designed for everyone. Book a Walking Break at any of the Dolan Hotels and enjoy the beauty of walking in Jersey.
Friday 4th - Sunday 6th. The Credit Suisse Jersey Festival of Motoring. Sprints, hill climbs, treasure hunts and cavalcades give participants and spectators the opportunity to come together in an extravaganza of motoring from yesteryear. This year the Harley Davidson Group will join in with their Hogs Around the Rock annual rally.
Saturday 12th - Sunday 20th. June in Bloom Floral Festival. Enjoy Jersey at its floral best with a week full of open gardens, demonstrations, flower shows and environmental walks.
Saturday 23rd - Saturday 25th. Foire de Jersey. Jersey's traditional country fayre combines a variety of food stalls, cattle and flower shows, French markets and live entertainment.
Saturday 20th. ITEX Around Island Walk. Covering 48 miles, in between 12 and 21 hours, this annual event attracts both local and visiting walkers, raising funds for Jersey Charities.
Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th. Samares Summer Festival and Jersey Rose Show. Join Samares Manor and the Jersey Rosarians for this summer festival and spectacle of colour and fragrance in the beautiful grounds of the Manor.
Saturday 10th - Sunday 11th. West Show. Bi-annual traditional country fayre in St Peters featuring rural exhibits, traditional craft stalls and demonstrations.
Saturday 26th. Bonne Nuit Harbour Festival. Set in the North Coast Bay, the day will include stalls and activities for every age with live music until late.
Thursday 12th - Friday 15th. Battle of Flowers Carnival. Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular carnivals in Europe. Enjoy the spectacle of flower festooned floats, musicians, dancers and entertainers for one of the highlights of Jersey's summer events calendar.
Thursday 19th. Gorey Fete. Set in the picturesque harbour of Gorey, enjoy fun for all the family, including beach events and the famous yard of ale and spaghetti eating competitions with Al Fresco dining available all day.
Saturday 4th - Sunday 5th. Jersey Live Music Festival. The biggest little Indie rock festival in Europe. Past acts include Sow Patrol, Kasabian, Razorlight and The Prodigy.
Thursday 9th. International Air Display. The skies above Jersey Come alive to the sights and sounds of arguably one of the largest free air displays in Europe. The Hotel Cristina offer un-spoilt views from an elevated position of the air display across St Aubins Bay.
Saturday 11th - Saturday 18th. Autumn Walking Week. Experience the wonderful autumnal colours of Jersey and join in a full free programme of unique countryside, coastal and history walks with some of the islands most experienced guides. Thursday 23rd - Sunday 26th. Branchage Film Festival. A lively boutique festival hosting an array of diverse and entertaining films, dazzling special talks, exhibitions, training and education.
1st October - 12th November. Tennerfest. Annual food festival that offers set priced menus giving the chance to sample some of the bext cuisine in Jersey. The Somervillewill be participating once again, serving fantastic food in 2AA rosette Tides Restaurant.
Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th. Autumn Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show. The Royal Jersey Horticultural Society invites you to experience the shades of autumn with floral displays of all kinds of fruit and vegetables. There will also be poultry and small animal display and the Island Autumn Cattle Show as well as afternoon tea with home made cakes.
Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th. La Fais'sie d'Cidre (Cider Festival). Celebrate the cider of today and yesterday with a variety of activities and tastings at Hamptonne.
Thursday 21st - Saturday 23rd. Black Butter Making. Join the National Trust for Jersey as they make this delicious delicacy from the Islands apple harvest.
Thursday 2nd - Sunday 12th. La Fete de Noue. In the lead up to the festive period experience late night shopping, street entertainment, guided walks, traditional markets, Christmas parades, carol concerts and much more...
